Victorian Charm in the Heart of Santa Fe

Victorian Charm in the Heart of Santa Fe

I had the pleasure of staging a rarity in Santa Fe, a Victorian home built in 1882, which sits above the city on Paseo de la Cuma, and was a “grand dame” in its day. It would have been spectacular opportunity to work with an empty slate, however we needed to keep in mind that this was an occupied home and it needed staging around the tenants.

This home was previously on the market for over six months and not styled, plus had very tired vintage furniture, which showed its age. We rearranged a good portion of the existing furnishings and packed up a ton of books, many pieces were moved from one room to the next and even into the garage for safe keeping. We then supplemented with additional seating in the living room, added modern day decor and bedding to give it a facelift and make it feel new. With a few tweaks here and there and out with the old we were able to uplift the home. It now shows potential home buyers how easy transitioning from the 1880’s to the 21st century can be.
