VACANT STAGING
Don Quixote | 2020
Home staging is less expensive than a price reduction. That’s an important fact for homeowners to keep in mind. This home spent over four months on the market and underwent four price drops before the home was staged. A combination of bold wall colors and awkward room shapes made it difficult for buyers to see the potential in the home. When I came on the project, I suggested updates that included new paint, but as it turned out, that wasn’t an option for the homeowners. Instead, I came up with a color palette that softened the intensity of the walls, making the rooms feel more modern and open. By staging the rooms with contemporary furniture that fit the scale of the space, buyers were able to appreciate the function and possibility of each room. After the home was re-listed with new photos of the staged rooms, the home had a viable offer in seven days.
