OCCUPIED STAGING
Tesuque Village | 2021
Many projects I undertake involve dealing with the estate and accumulated possessions of an inherited property. This unique adobe home on five acres was left to a daughter who lived out of state. It was up to my team and I to sort, donate, recycle, and pack nearly 50 years of belongings occupying 5,000 square feet of space—while coordinating with the client the entire time.
The room-by-room process took nearly four weeks. Then it was time to prepare the home for the listing photography and eventual showings. After the home underwent a thorough cleaning, I arranged and reappropriated an edited selection of existing furnishings. To complete the look, I added a few pieces from my staging inventory. Bringing a cohesive look to the flowing expanse of the home, the staging highlighted its beauty while improving the sense of flow. Immediately upon going live, the home went under contract and sold shortly after.
